Drew Watson, MD, MS, FAMSSM, FAAP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine Public Health and board certified in pediatrics and sports medicine. He is a team physician for the University of Wisconsin and Forward Madison FC in USL League One and serves as the Chief Medical Advisor for the Elite Clubs National League. He is a fellow of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as an Associate Editor for Sports Health and The British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Watson is the Director of the University of Wisconsin Human Performance Laboratory, conducting research in exercise physiology, injury prevention, the impacts of injuries and loss of sport on mental health, and the role of mindfulness in sports medicine and athletic performance. He also serves as a primary investigator within Badger Athletic Performance and the Director of the Center for Athlete Health and Performance in the Elite Clubs National League. This collaborative work has received multiple national research awards, resulted in over 75 peer-reviewed publications and significantly influenced public policy within youth sports.
